Sales Engineer

Working closely with the heads of our various departments, you’ll coordinate the day-to-day business strategies across the company.

Hopper Systems is revolutionizing enterprise technology and the way customers experience enterprise software. As Sales Engineer, you'll be thoroughly versed in product know-how and use it to drive pre-sales technical support. Help customers understand how Hopper Systems solves some of IT's toughest challenges, how the solution is delivered in an easily consumable way, and why it aligns with customers' vision for the future. You'll successfully impart that this is not technology they'll have to use, but one that they'll want to use.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide expert pre-sales support by clearly articulating Hopper Systems’s technology and product positioning to both business and technical users
  • Communicate Hopper Systems’s vision by developing and delivering product demonstrations
  • Identify all technical issues and ensure customer satisfaction through successful execution of the sales process
  • Demonstrate Hopper Systems products with ease and work directly with customers in the field
  • Collaborate regularly with Product Management as a field representative regarding product development and enhancements, effectively conveying customer requirements
  • Provide post-sales technical support
  • Build long-term relationships in key customer accounts and be the customer voice within Hopper Systems

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years of demonstrated success in a customer-facing role such as sales engineer, technical architect, consultant, or project manager
  • Experience in web development, working primarily in a language/framework such as Java, Node.js, or Ruby on Rails
  • Knowledge of Go and core concepts
  • Experience working with distributed systems
  • A proven track record in enterprise software sales technical support
  • Strong customer-facing and relationship-building skills
  • Comfort working with multiple decision-makers to drive the sales process
  • Ability to effectively answer technical questions brought up in RFIs/RFPs
  • Ability to qualify potential clients from both technical and business perspectives
  • Very comfortable presenter of sales and technical material to both small and large groups. (The ability to present impromptu and via whiteboard is necessary.)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, related field or equivalent experience
